Thank you so much Dave!
It is indeed a very cool amp. And now that i have an actual pair of purple back Fanes it's even cooler!

SA212R Question
Hey guys, quick question. What is the ohms load for the SA212R's? Mine is a 1976 and it has nothing on the back saying. The reason I ask is because I recently picked up a pair of purple back 125155 Fanes. They are 16ohms each. What would be the best way to install them in said SA212R?

Re: SA212R
Dave, There is no amp I had in mind when asking. I was looking at the M. Huss Hiwatt page under catalogs http://hiwatt.org/info/78cat/page06.jpg when I saw the SA212R's. So I looked back through the forum and didn't see much info for them. According to the catalog the loudspeakers are 122667, which ...

SA212R
What year did Hiwatt start making these amps? Also, were the Fane 122667's able to take both bass and guitar? Sorry if this is a dumb question, just kind of wondering. Been thinking about looking for a Hiwatt combo and the reverb and vibrato aspect sound interesting. Any details would help greatly. ...

Re: 1979 DR-103
Thank you Dr. Hiwatt, I knew if anyone would know it would be you.
I was actually thinking the same thing about the price from hanging out here. I decided against it. Perhaps I'll hold out until I can find one of them 4 holers everyone talks about.

1979 DR-103
This DR-103 is just a short drive from me. I've been wanting another 100. Thoughts? Is it worth it?

Re: another 4x12 combo sold...
I'd actually thought about it. Even looked into driving down to Oklahoma to pick it up instead of having it shipped. Funny thing is it would have been cheaper to drive from where I live (Iowa) than have it sent, lol. Last one I saw on ebay went for $3500 if I remember correctly. Cool amp! I would ha...

Re: Hylights for sale @ Convention
I need to pay attention more. Wish I could have made this. Not all that far from me being in Iowa. Guitar Tod, where in Nebraska you at?

Re: Introduce yourself
Dr. Hiwatt, I'm pretty sure the extra holes were punched after. The work of the actual punchings seem to be pretty cruddy and the spacing is very close as compared to the actual tube socket holes, which are spaced out equally, but I'm not an expert. It reminds me of an old bandmaster I bought a few ...

Re: Introduce yourself
Greetings everybody! I'm a new member. My name is Casey and I live in Iowa. Within the last year I've gotten into Hiwatts after being a fender player mainly before. I love the sound of these amazing amps. I use my DR-103's to play bass through. They are road amps, so they are by no means museum piec...
