Re: Crescendo M.V. 122343
Thank you. This would be a long distance purchase. Anyway it seems it has been reconed as the cone has a handwritten mark on it. I might pass on it.

Crescendo M.V. 122343
I found this 12 inch speaker for sale. Does anyone know if it's the speaker used by Gilmour or similar? I've asked the seller for pics of the conecodes but I'm still waiting for them.

Re: crescendo rub?
Have you checked the dust cap thoroughly for cracks? Alu caps can have tiny almost invisible cracks that cause buzzing.

Re: Hiwatt Gurus: Help your friend Bob!
more help needed! so even the guys at Savage are a little perplexed. basically, the same thing is wrong this time as last time. essentially, the 100 ohm resistor (that comes off of the high voltage power supply that then feeds the plate voltage on one side and feeds the screens on the other) ...

Hiwatt Fane for sale... (soon)
I'm getting my friends SE4123. It only has one original Fane left and as I'm gonna use the cab for bass powered by a DR203 the speaker deserves a better home, don't you think? Anyway I can't remember the model but it's a '72 or '73 stamped frame 50W. 14000 gauss, I think. Pictures and codes in a cou...

Re: First post!
I spoke to the former owner and he told me that he got the amp that way and that he tried to wire it back like yours but that the result was a horrible screeching sound... I also found this schematic on Mark Huss's website. It might be for some different model though, because at those posit...

Re: Bit of help with ID?
I have three of those exact Goodmans. They were in a Laney Bass 100 cab from around 1970. I was told these green labeled are rated for 25W but haven't found much info on them. Do they have any indication of power rating? I'd like to know. Haven't had the chance to try them out actually so can't comm...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello Hiwatt-people. I'd love to come to the convention one day but it's quite the trip from Finland so not this year for sure, maybe next! Well anyway I play bass through a Hiwatt DR203, PA head, and I'm about to start on a DIY "Hiwatt" with a SAP pre-amp and a 2xKT88 poweramp. Just...
