Belated NAD 77 dr105
Thanks to old School Dave and Dr Hiwatt for their immense patience, and assisting me in my first hiwatt. This is a 77 dr105 and is my most favorite piece of gear I have ever had. Right now its a living room fixture, Im single and the dog doesnt seem to mind me sitting on the couch and staring at it ...

Re: 4x12 construction - castors
The battens are all nailed to the baffle, no sign of rivets. The rivets I referred to held the badge to the batten. Here's a pic of my "ugly duckling" cab. Note where the badge used to be and the holes for the rivets that held it: SE412_front.jpg Dave Damn Dave, that really has some mojo,...

Re: Does anyone know this 103
I agree he is quite proud of that amp. There is a 72 or 73 that is about a 8 at gregs he is asking 2500 which seems like the upper end of retail, I would pay 1700 for gregs and would only be in for this one at about 1k. New head cab badge and a complete go through would put it back into the 1700 ran...

Re: Does anyone know this 103
I spoke to the guy on the phone. He seems to be a pretty nice guy, and a typical musician. 8) He said one of the cans had been replaced with 2 individual caps and at one point (when he got it) someone had modified something which increased the heater voltage which he has since returned to stock. It ...

Re: Does anyone know this 103
I shot him an email and havent heard back yet. It seems a bit steep for the condition, Dr H's is in definite better condition and has had a replacement PT and seems worth more than that one. I think its worth about 1k unless the inside looks as if it has just been service or completely perfect origi...

Re: Dr 103 amp shot and I dont know what Im looking at
I cranked it up last night. It works well, it just isn't a mint condition piece. If you have any other questions, or want any other pics, just let me know! You are welcome. I am a Vintage HIWATT super freak! If you come to the Convention, you will see why. For me as long as it doesnt fail, it can l...

Sweet Dr. If its yours I certainly have much more confidence in it, than some random guy making a mess of things. I will be bidding! I need to sell a guitar too
I really appreciate your input here as well as over at the other forum
